Two months is a long time in the blogging world. Where can I have been? Life has been far from quiet – as those of you who tweet from time to time will know. And I have been beavering away on a number of projects including my new partnership with Lucy Baille of Fern Forest School.

This Saturday sees the first of our outdoors activity mornings for children, combining Lucy’s forest schools expertise and my passion for country crafts, outdoor cooking and growing things. Good wholesome fun with fire and  knives…. carefully supervised of course! What more could any adventurous youngster want? This time around we’ll be baking a rustic loaf over an open fire and doing a bit of green woodworking. Gnomes feature somewhere along the way too.

Do say hello if you’re out and about near Hartley Farm on Saturday. You’ll find us under the tree canopy in the goat pen (minus goats).
